A 24-year-old Pennsylvania man has been charged with criminal homicide following the fatal shooting of a 19-year-old friend during what witnesses described as a dangerous game involving firearms.
Samuel Rolando Colon was arrested Monday and charged with criminal homicide, aggravated assault, and six counts of recklessly endangering another person in connection with the November 2025 death of Ti’Shaun Singleton.
The incident occurred on November 8, 2025, at approximately 4:37 p.m. at a residence in the 200 block of Edward Lane in Catasauqua. Emergency responders arriving at the scene discovered Singleton suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. Despite immediate medical attention, paramedics pronounced him dead at the location. The Lehigh County Coroner’s Office subsequently classified the death as a homicide.
According to prosecutors from the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office, witnesses reported that Colon and Singleton had been engaged in what they called a ‘quick draw’ game when the fatal shooting occurred. Both men were reportedly armed with guns during this activity. Authorities have not released specific details about how this game was conducted or what rules, if any, governed the dangerous activity.
The investigation revealed disturbing details about the immediate aftermath of the shooting. Surveillance footage from neighboring properties captured several individuals fleeing the residence following the incident. The video evidence also showed two people dragging Singleton’s body outside the home before one person subsequently carried him back inside.
The shooting occurred in the presence of multiple witnesses, including a child and several other individuals who were either inside the residence or in the immediate vicinity when the gun discharged. This has led to the additional charges of recklessly endangering another person, reflecting the danger posed to bystanders during the incident.
The case has drawn attention to the deadly consequences of mishandling firearms and engaging in dangerous activities with weapons. The presence of a child and multiple witnesses during the incident underscores the reckless nature of the alleged conduct.
Colon is currently detained at the Lehigh County Jail without bond as he awaits further legal proceedings. The investigation is being conducted jointly by the Lehigh County Homicide Task Force and the Catasauqua Police Department, with the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office handling the prosecution.
A preliminary hearing has been scheduled where a judge will determine whether sufficient evidence exists to proceed to trial on the charges. During this hearing, prosecutors will present their case against Colon, including witness testimony and the surveillance footage that captured the chaotic scene following the shooting.
The tragic incident highlights the fatal risks associated with treating firearms as toys or props in games. What participants may have viewed as a harmless activity resulted in the loss of a young life and criminal charges that could result in significant prison time if Colon is convicted.
The case continues to develop as investigators work to establish the complete sequence of events that led to Singleton’s death. Prosecutors have indicated they will not release the names of witnesses who have cooperated with the investigation, prioritizing their safety and privacy during the ongoing legal proceedings.
