A tragic case in Arkansas has left a community searching for answers after a mother and her two children were found dead inside their home.
On December 3, 2025, deputies from the Sebastian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a welfare check at a residence in Bonanza, Arkansas. Upon entering the home, they discovered the bodies of 40-year-old Charity Beallis and her two young children.
Authorities reported that all three had suffered gunshot wounds. The children, believed to be around six years old, have not been publicly identified.
Officials stated that autopsies would be conducted to confirm the exact causes of death. At the time of reporting, no arrests had been made and no suspects had been identified. The investigation remains ongoing, with law enforcement continuing interviews and executing search warrants.
The discovery came just one day after Charity attended her final divorce hearing with her husband, Dr. Randall Beallis. Court records show that she had filed for divorce in March 2025.
Following Charity’s death, Dr. Beallis’s attorney filed a motion to dismiss the divorce case.
Additional records reveal that Charity had previously sought full custody of her children and had requested a protective order. These requests were connected to earlier allegations of domestic violence.
Dr. Beallis had been arrested in February 2025 and later pleaded guilty to third-degree battery in October. He received a suspended sentence, a fine, and was ordered to have no contact with Charity or her family, except under court-approved conditions.
Charity had also spoken publicly about her struggles within the legal system, expressing concerns about her safety and frustration with how her case was handled.
Her son, John Powell, later shared that she had fought relentlessly to protect herself and her children.
The case continues to develop as investigators work to determine what led to the deaths.
