A man convicted in a brutal case involving the kidnapping, sexual assault, and killing of a young child is now scheduled to be executed.
Jeremy Williams of Alabama was convicted in 2024 for the abduction, assault, and murder of a 5-year-old girl from Georgia.
According to court records, the case involved multiple violent offenses that ultimately led to the child’s death.
Following his conviction, Williams was sentenced to death.
Authorities have now set his execution date for Thursday, August 13th.
The case has drawn strong reactions due to the age of the victim and the severity of the crimes.
