A case involving a childcare worker and thousands of illegal files has raised serious concerns about safeguarding and sentencing.
Kristian Parry was arrested in May 2025 after authorities discovered more than 5,000 indecent images and videos involving young children on his phone and laptop.
At the time, Parry was employed at a childcare center.
Investigators also found that his device screensaver displayed an image of a baby wearing only a diaper.
Despite the severity of the allegations, the situation took another alarming turn after his arrest.
Reports indicate that just two months later, while out on bail, Parry secured another job in childcare, where he was reportedly allowed to carry out duties including changing diapers.
The case has sparked outrage and questions about how background checks and safeguarding measures were handled.
Parry was ultimately sentenced to two years in prison.
