Authorities have announced that the cause of death for a South Carolina woman found after going missing remains undetermined.

According to Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher, the cause of death for Elena Moore, 39, is currently listed as “pending.”

Officials stated that no apparent injuries were found on Moore’s body, and the investigation is ongoing.

Moore had been reported missing in Lexington, South Carolina, before she was later discovered deceased.

In the days leading up to her disappearance, Moore had displayed unusual behavior that has since drawn attention in the case.

Approximately a week prior, she was captured on camera during a food delivery interaction, where she appeared dazed and confused.

On the day she went missing, surveillance footage showed Moore at a local Planet Fitness, followed by another sighting in a nearby parking lot.

She was last seen walking away into the night.

Authorities have not released further details as they continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding her death.
