A quiet night turned into a frightening situation inside an Ohio home.
Authorities say a 31-year-old woman is accused of forcing her way into her ex-husband’s residence and opening fire while he was inside.
According to reports, Amanda Heller allegedly entered the Montpelier home on April 26 while her ex-husband was asleep. Investigators say she threatened to kill him before firing two rounds from a handgun inside the house.
Despite the gunfire, no injuries were reported.
Details about what led up to the incident have not been fully released, and officials have not shared further information about the couple’s past relationship.
Heller was taken into custody and remains behind bars as the case moves forward.
As with all cases, the charges are allegations at this stage, and she is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
Incidents like this highlight how quickly domestic situations can escalate, leaving lasting consequences even when no physical injuries occur.
