Florida Teacher and Coach Arrested After Federal Investigation into Child Exploitation Case

A private school teacher and coach is now in federal custody after investigators uncovered disturbing online activity.

Patrick Conor Russell, 37, who worked at Saint Andrew’s School in Boca Raton, Florida, was arrested following an FBI investigation connected to a separate case in another state.

According to federal documents, agents initially discovered chat logs on an encrypted messaging app while examining a different suspect’s device. Those messages led them to a user identified as “Jack C,” who was later traced back to Russell.

Investigators allege that Russell exchanged links to illegal material involving minors and engaged in conversations that raised serious concerns.

Court records state that he allegedly discussed inappropriate interest in students and described scenarios involving individuals in his classes. Authorities also say he sent images of students while making explicit remarks.

In addition, the complaint alleges that Russell spoke about attempts to obtain explicit material from minors and referenced situations involving students during his time as a coach.

Saint Andrew’s School confirmed that Russell was terminated immediately after they were notified of the arrest.

He appeared in federal court in Fort Lauderdale and remains in custody as the case moves forward.

Officials continue to investigate the full scope of the situation, including whether additional victims may be involved.

Cases like this highlight the importance of vigilance, reporting, and early intervention when concerning behavior is identified.
