A pre-kindergarten teacher trusted with young children is now facing more than 50 criminal charges.
Authorities in Pinellas County, Florida, arrested 42-year-old Christopher Mulesky in April 2026 following an investigation into alleged child exploitation activity.
According to court records, Mulesky faces 51 charges, including transmitting and receiving illegal material involving minors.
Investigators say the case involved disturbing online communications, including messages where the account holder allegedly expressed interest in very young children.
Law enforcement traced the activity back to an IP address connected to Sprout Academy, where Mulesky had been employed for approximately nine months.
Despite passing all required background checks prior to being hired, the allegations surfaced during the investigation, leading to his immediate termination once the school was notified.
In a message to families, Sprout Academy stated that, based on current findings, there is no evidence that any children at the school were involved.
Authorities continue to examine digital evidence as part of the ongoing case.
Mulesky remains in custody at the Pinellas County Jail, with bond reported to be set at over $130,000. A court date has not yet been announced.
Cases like this highlight ongoing concerns around online exploitation and the challenges of identifying harmful behavior before it escalates.
