Man with Extensive Criminal History Charged in Violent Attacks in North Carolina

A North Carolina man with a lengthy criminal record is now facing new charges following a series of violent attacks in Charlotte.

Paul Hicks, 31, who reportedly has 35 prior arrests and more than 100 charges, is accused of attacking two people in a recent incident.

According to police, Hicks allegedly attempted to kill a 35-year-old man during the assault.

Authorities also say he attacked a 26-year-old pregnant woman during the same incident.

Investigators report that the attacks involved the use of a knife, along with physical violence including hands, feet, and biting.

Hicks is currently being held without bond as the case moves forward.

The incident has raised concerns about repeat offenders and how individuals with extensive criminal histories are handled within the justice system.

The case remains ongoing.
